No Roof Penetrations, Minimal Ballast, Low Weight

The versatility of the RAIS design and the use of reflectors to create the self-supporting RAIS WAVE mean much easier and much more roof friendly solar deployments. The system is self-grounded eliminating need for a separate ground wire to each module– and no additional racking or mounting equipment is required.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) streamlines and pressure profiles illustrating the wind flow characteristics of the RAIS WAVE. Upstream wind (red indicates higher pressure) is transported over the array creating a steady-state profile across the remaining array. An array of sufficient size is capable of resisting the forces created by the wind loadings on the edges of the system as verified in wind tunnel testing. The RAIS WAVE with minimal ballasting withstands winds up to 90 mph, eliminating the need for roof penetrations.
